Sujay graduated in Mechanical Engineering and joined a manufacturing company in Andheri Industrial Estate, Mumbai. After a couple of years, his father gave him some money for purchasing a flat somewhere in Andheri. In addition to that, he secured a loan from a nationalized bank and bought a decent flat in West Andheri. He got married to Sadhana, a friend of his sister. It was a happy couple.
Recently it was understood that Sujay keeps complaining about his health. Nothing serious, but sometimes he gets irritated for no reason. Sadhana, his wife is a very pretty and loving woman. She is confused. She does not understand what needs to be done. A family friend suggested Sujay consult the physician. The doctor after going through Sujay’s blood test reports concluded that nothing was wrong with him except a little increase in blood pressure than normal.
The doctor enquired about his married life and other family relations. Sujay and Sadhana were very happy with each other. And there was no mentionable issue with any relatives or friends. Then the doctor asked him about his employment. Was he happy working in that company? How were his relations with his boss, colleagues, and subordinates? Sujay kept quiet for some time and then said, “He wasn’t comfortable working over there. For few months he developed a feeling that there was no job satisfaction.” The doctor advised him to discuss the matter with his HR Manager and get it resolved as early as possible.
Sujay’s father-in-law Mr. Gopinath is a retired person. Mr. Gopinath served a famous corporate company as a Vice President, HR. Sujay phoned him and went to see him the next day evening. Mr. Gopinath with his large experience understood Sujay’s dilemma in a very short period. He opined that job satisfaction also affects a person’s general well-being.
